On May 16th, 2024 our family gathered, along with Laurie’s 94-year-old mother, Norma Pieper, and we were set apart by Elder Neil L. Andersen. It was a joyous occasion to be able to have all of our children (and spouses) in attendance to share this special experience with us. We were given some very direct counsel about the work in Japan and feel grateful for the blessings we received through Elder Andersen for our mission.

We celebrated with Mexican food afterwards, something that might become a rarity for us in Japan.
